this event is for those people curious about what solar systems look like, how they work, what the return on investment is, or just want to “check out” how this technology can benefit them. High Noon Solar is offering a self-guided tour of 16 area residences and businesses across the Grand Valley that incorporate solar electric systems. High Noon Solar has partnered with MVM Mortgage Group and will have representatives at designated locations to answer solar and financing questions. Maps will soon be available on High Noon Solar’s website.

Keys to Homeownership Festival at the Botanical Gardens

This first-of-its-kind event, held during national Homeownership Month, will offer free information about buying, selling and owning a home. A great lineup of diverse local entertainment, a children's activity area, and food selections at prices everyone can afford. Educational discussions will be held throughout the day covering topics that range from house hunting tips and tricks to loan qualification and mortgage financing.

Kitchen Sink Yard Sale and Vinyl Blowout

As part of the local Community Radio station's fundraising efforts, KAFM Community Radio will hold a day-long sale. This is the second annual yard sale for the non-profit organization. Last year's sale raised over $2000 to help support Junction's only local community radio station. Part of the yard sale will include thousands of vinyl records of every genre. This record sale is also a yearly event and is always much anticipated by collectors, who come from far and wide to scoop up treasures. "We will have thousands of vinyl albums for sale starting at $1 each! with volume discounts! The more you buy, the more you save!" said the station's Operations Manager, Tracy Baker. "This sale is really a day-long party and gathering of the community. It's always great fun and it supplements our other fundraising efforts." Other notable items for sale: beautiful rugs, complete china service for 24, lamps, vintage iron bed, old books, furniture, antiques, sporting goods, vintage clothing and much more!----KAFM is accepting donations for the sale thru the end of May! This unusual event will blend great ballet dances and great works of chamber music together into one exciting and dramatic concert.-----The program will feature Principal Dancers from the world-renowned Eugene Ballet Company in the exciting Grand Pas de Deux from the ballet Don Quixote. Also presented will be the romantic ballet “Pas de Quatre”, performed by dancers from the Institute of Dancing Arts.
