DMT 2009-2010 Winter Cooking Classes at Willow Pond

DEMO AND HANDS-ON COOKING CLASSES.

Have fun with friends!

All classes will be held at Willowpond Bed and Breakfast, from 6:30 pm to 8:45 pm. Classes include recipe packets, a full meal and wonderful camaraderie. Classes are $50 each. Classes are transferable, but not refundable. Class attendance is limited and classes fill up fast.

Diana M. Tarasiewicz grew up in the Alsace Lorraine region of Northeastern France. She has been involved in the gourmet food world for many years, starting in Ann Arbor, Michigan, moving on to New York City, and finally bringing her knowledge to Grand Junction, Colorado. With over 25 years of culinary experience, this award-winning chef, menu stylist and educator brings a broad range of knowledge, technique and insight to the local community. Holding a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Diana appreciates food as an art form. Diana founder of DMT Catering and is an adjunct instructor at the Colorado Culinary Academy at Mesa State College in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Thur. Nov 19
Great healthy side dishes for the holidays. Some wonderful variations on the classics we all love! Lemony sweet potato and parsnip puree, ginger butternut squash soup with lime, maple sweet potato casserole, stir-fried shredded brussel sprouts with poppy seeds, lemon and garlic and other wonderful comforting dishes, easy on labor and your budget.

Wed. Dec 2nd.
Gifts of food. Lots of terrific ideas for great homemade presents, including packaging ideas and label templates (cd included) Learn how to make great soup mixes, chai mixes, marinated cheeses, infused oils and vinegars, sugared nuts and many more.

Gifts of food. Same class as Dec. 2.

Tuesday Dec 8
Entertaining for the holidays. Great hors d'oeuvres in a flash, for your own holiday entertaining, or to bring to a party. Quick, clever ideas with ingredients from your freezer and pantry, such as parmesan and prosciutto pinwheels, cucumber crowns filled with smoked salmon mousse, and many others.

Thursday Dec 10
Christmas morning breakfast and brunch ideas. Fantastic easy items such as overnight caramel apple and pecan french toast, cheese souffle and orange butter biscuit casserole... Yummmmm
