Spring is here!

Here's what's happening at the Pond!



We are gearing up for the busy season, planning weddings and  menus for Spring! The robins and magpies have returned, we anxiously await the arrival of flowers, hummingbirds and waterfowl! We have been lucky to have a mated pair of great-horned owls in the willow tree for two years now!

This month The Art Center exhibits feature the CO2 international poster exhibit, the Rockies West National Juried Watercolor Exhibit and opening at the end of March the CMU student exhibit.  April features the Altrusa art show, featuring work by area school children, Spring Art Week, and in May- the annual Fine Art Auction...Tuesdays are always free!

We've recreated an 1899-1915 102 mile bicycle ride from Grand Junction to Glenwood Springs, Colorado. We've researched the history of the Midland Road Race and have included as many of the original elements of the race as possible.

Grand Junction Art Community:

The art community is so busy here, sometimes it's hard to schedule an art even because there's so much competition!

Grand Junction recently won a National Arts Council Award for it's support of the arts.

There is a walking tour downtown called "Art on the Corner" that features over one hundred sculptures by Colorado artists.
